I understand what you are saying & I agree with you, even on the flat running at 11.5v not good enough
The 48hr charge was with an external charger in my garage, not the van charger
Have not checked fluid level as this is a new battery
which was supposedly ready to go & fully charged, I will check
I think I've bought the wrong battery, cat C is a lower capacity battery. I paid £80, less than 2 months, only get what you pay for.
Should have paid the £165 for cat A, high storage battery, which is what local van dealer sells
P.S. I connected 2 crocodile clips onto motor on end of 1.5mm x 1mtr cable with plastic terminal block at other end with the small screws securing the probes of the m/meter, this let me walk at the side of the van while the wife used the handset & I get the readings
I'll keep you posted, you help & knowledge is very much appreciated
