Hi all, just came back from first time out in are caravan (second hand one) it was raining last night and noticed water streaming down from top of awning rail in a few places, i have 6 months warranty on van should i contact dealer or just seal it myself? also does any one know when you turn the pump switch on shoud it stay on green or only come on when running water ? as my old caravan used to stay lit up green all the time ,pics below thanks...
If the water is coming through the awning rail I'd take it back to the dealer. If you make any repair yourself it may invalidate any guarantee you have. If the seal on the awning is allowing water ingress I'd ask for the whole rail to be taken off and resealed.Hard to see from the photo but could it be the water ingressed via the awning binding which you can reseal to make it waterproof. The water pump on my van lights when the pump is working.
Our coachman had exactly the same water line running down from where the two parts of the rail join.
Never worried me as I thought at least I can see it's not going inside the body.!
Speak to the dealer and put your mind to rest...
If you mean water was going around awning channel & running down outside then thats not a leak into caravan. When you take awning down try cleaning awning rail out with rag & silicone spray. Awning will slide on better as well.
