Hi all been away with caravan this weekend, we have a problem with oven not staying lit.
if you are patient and monitor it you can keep on relighting it & eventualy it caves in & stays lit.

Bend the thermocouple bracket so it is nearer flame. As you say it eventually stays alight looks as though thermo works if getting hot enough.

As above are you keeping the gas valve open and giving the thermocouple a chance to heat up.

That needs to heat up to keep the gas flowing. If the flame goes out the gas shuts off to prevent it filling the van with gas.

has there been a spilage onto the burner? if so this will cause a blockage and there may be little or no flame near the thermocouple, like said previously if it stays on eventually the thermocouple will not be faulty.
Another issue I see with domestic appliances is sometimes the knobs hit against the facia stopping the valve to open fully, the thermocouple, when hot, acts like a magnet to hold the valve open, so the valve needs to be fully open, if you pull the knob off and press the valve in with your thumb this will eliminate the knob issue.
