Hi. I have a 2002 Swift Corniche and the gas hobs don't work properly. When they are lit, not all the little gas burners around the hob plate light up. Some light up then go out, so on average about 3/4 are lit at one time.
I know I need to clean the holes etc as may have blockages. Just wondered whether if they are not lit, gas stops coming out or whether the unlit ones are still emitting gas, which is obviously a bit dodgy.
Thanks
I don't touch gas, except for maintenance, it may be you have some obstruction on the jets and the flame failure devices are disconnecting the supply. I would clean the jets see you tube link Here.
After cleaning the jets I'd check again and if the flames were still extinguishing I'd admit defeat and call a qualified engineer. I had a similar problem but mine was the microswitch controlled by the glass lid reducing all flames on my burners and putting them all out before it was repaired.
Cheers for the reply Geoff and sorry for my late one. Yes I think I'll get an expert in if cleaning them doesn't work as I don't want to mess with Gas.
