Hi. I have a problem with the kitchen mixer tap in my caravan. Water leaks from the base of the spout, where the screw-mount attaches to the base. I checked the o-ring on the spigot, which also holds the spout and the screw mount together. The ring had a slight split, so I obtained a replacement ring (11.6mm i/d by 2.4mm thickness, as advised by whale), but this didn't solve the problem.
Diagnostic process then came up with the conundrum. If I fit the spout from the bathroom to the kitchen assembly - no leak. OK, verify by fitting the kitchen spout to the bathroom assembly. No leak. Puzzled, swapped them around a few times to verify (and also noticed that the ring on the bathroom tap also had a slight split).
Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing the leak, given that it doesn't leak when the two spouts are swapped over? (Unfortunately the bathroom one is short spout, kitchen is long, so the swap isn't a permanent fix).
Thanks in advance for any ideas
