Hello all. I am after a bit of advice.
We have a Avondale Dart 380/2 Millenium edition so 2000 Model.
After just returning from a week in North Norfolk we had an issue with the battery not being up to using the motor mover. We have been on hookup all week and noticed no power problems either mains or Battery supply.

So to my point:-
because the battery was well down I investigated the charger Zig X-7. Using a multi meter.
I have mains voltage going in ok, but no 12v output.
I have removed the unit and after drilling out the lid securing rivets I have discovered the 5 amp fuse to be blown.
However within the unit one of what I assume is a transistor along with a resistor are showing signs of overheating and the part of the printed circuit board where they are situated is looking to be burned.

I think owing to the age of the unit rather than send it for repair I'm thinking of a replacement. Can anyone recommend a cost effective way to replace the unit preferably with something of similar dimensions because I'm hoping to locate it in the same area. I've read a few previous posts re the same chargers but they were from a few years ago. I'm wondering if anyone has had the same issue recently and could give me advice.

My other problem is that through deafness I'm unable to use a phone so I am limited to e-mails or forums for information and web sites for ordering.
Thanks and good wishes to all.
Brian

Thank you for your reply Geoff.
I'll try them with an email.

I've also come across one whilst browsing called a:-
Rovert Automatic Multi-Stage Leisure Battery Charger - 12V 12A
It's about £86
From a company called "12 Volt Planet"
It sounds like it should do the job ok but it's always good to get recommendations from people's experiences.

Regards Brian.
