Anyone have any advice on how to stop our old caravan going green on th outside. I've been cleaning regularly with normal car shampoo but not sure if anyone has any products which may be better.
I just washed my caravan yesterday using Fenwicks cleaner and wow it's gleaming
great for getting rid of alage/black streak marks and polishing alloy wheels too
The green on the outside is algea build up which is easily removed with Fenwick's Caravan Cleaner diluted with cold water which about 3 cap fulls of cleaner in a bucket of cold water is all you need so a container should last around 40 washes as instructed on the container. What you need is a cheap soft paint brush (not a stiff brush) and work the solution into the grime then either hose it down (not a jetspray) or use a pressure canister for gardening. Using anything harsh such a stiff brush or power wash could dislodge the the waterproof sealant so the above advice is critical if you want to avoid water ingress.

I can fully recommend Fenwicks cleaner, it works a treat.
Fenwicks Bobby Dazzler is also great for getting a great shone, not as good as applying a good coat of wax or something similar, but for those of us that are.........erm......a bit lazy, it cant be beat.
Demon Shine does the same as Bobby Dazzler and possibly cheaper. Available from your local Halfords.
