As title, the truma ultraheat in my caravan is not heating via electric. The light comes on the control and it clicks when I turn it up to suggest it is going to work, but never heats up. Gas part works fine.

I have tried turning off trip switch and leaving off for 15 minutes but no joy.

Any ideas?

The fan behind the Truma Ultraheat fire works via 12 volt electrics (battery power) and not by 240 volt mains so you need to check that the battery is not defective or not fully charged. If the battery is defective or low voltage it will have sufficient power to illuminate the thermostat light but not enough power operate the motor in the fan.

Hi and welcome to the forum. The electrical parts to the heater are notoriously fickle with common breakdowns. The green light on the control panel illuminates so the transformer looks good, my guess is that the problem lies in one or more of the power switching relays on the control panel.

The fan is working fine, have been using gas today. If it's the relays, is the only way to fix it a new pcb? Come to think of it, it was making a constant clicking sound yesterday on electric,I put it down to the fan. :(

The fan only blows the heat generated in the fire around the ducting etc, I take it the fire doesn't get hot at all? The relays can indeed 'click' as if working but may have the actual contacts burned out so no current flows to the heaters (which are pretty reliable by the way)
The relays can be purchased separately but unlike the PCB they are not listed as 'spare parts', you would need to know what you were looking for and troll the internet for them, plus they need to be soldered in when exchanging the old ones. Much cheaper than a PCB tho.

No, no heat via electric at all so possibly the relays, will have to investigate further when I'm at home.
