So I’ve just taken ownership of my first caravan a wilk s3 and spent 6 days in it, there are a few alterations I wish to make but the one I can’t quite work out is the water system.
I have an on-board only system which is filled via a hole in the outside which you shove a hose pipe into down into the tank, while On this stay I had a standpipe outside the caravan I know some sites the tap might be a fair distance away, so what I want (I might be dreaming here) is a system that incorporates an aqua roll, I want to be able to use the roll to fill my onboard tank and (big and here) the option to compleatly bypass my tank and use only the aqua roll as my main source of water if I feel fit. Now, is this possible? I’m quite handy and not scared of re-plumbing and cutting holes.
I have seen truma ultra flow and it has a big blue dial and what looks like 2 inlets on the bottom? I Would hope one would go into the tank to fill the tank or swap over onto the other to run from aqua roll?
Failing that What I was thinking was removing the whale pick up pump out of my tank and fitting a pump outside my tank in The bench compartment that with some fancy plumbing and valves (magic) could either be used to pick up water from the roll and fill the tank or be used to directly supply the system from the roll.
Is there a better way or am I right?
The big blue dial has a filter behind it, and the inlet is for filling an onboard tank via an Aquaroll, and the other is an outlet for an outside shower attachment.

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Or you can buy one of these for use when you are on a pitch with direct tap access, thus doing away with the need for an Aquaroll.

Hi, Blueexpo .... how easy is this system to fit .... DIY? At present I have a simple screw cap to open water inlet pipe, and refill by hose or water container ... quite boring. The option of a permanently connected hose, or a supply from a free standing aqua roll is tempting.
Sorry Kelper the day this was on at school, I plunked it.
Seriously though, I would expect a decent handling of DIY skills would be needed, personally if it was me it would need to be a competent mobile engineer or into a local dealer. I understand this might not be so easy for your good self.

We used to have a Bailey Senator which had an on board tank, By using two diverter valves, we could fill the tank from the aquaroll, use the aquaroll direct or pump water from the on board tank. Annoyingly I can't quite remember the configuration, but maybe someone else does.
It was convenient to put the aquaroll away the night before leaving the site, and then just drain what was left in the on board tank when leaving.
I'm sure that an aqua roll set up, as I experienced in FC days, was actually quite prone to considerable bacteria growth, given the exposure to wide temperature changes during day and night ambients on the continent ... that's a recipe for bacterial growth ...
I reckon our on board tank, under the bed unit, is subject to a much lower range of temperature variation.
Not that we ever drink from the caravan water supply ... so it's probably safe enough. Will jut have to refill as necessary.
