Glad its not as big a job as thought. Clean the area to remove the mould using mould remover. The delamination repair using one shot is very straight forward search (use floor as your search word) on this website and well documented .Follow the instructions and read the forum advice and you should have a worthwhile repair. You can then have a choice of how to cover the floor, carpet, vinyl or self adhesive vinyl tiles.link here

I'd be looking at why its rotted, the water has come from somewhere, are the walls all solid? could it have come from the roof and down inside the walls.

yes paul.. there was a pipe off a tap in the bathroom..previous owner wasnt too phased when i told him lol..taps were also cracked .. fixing them as we speak 😊
walls etc pretty good.. old roof repair at back needs redone but not leaking...

after reading through various texts on the delam repair.. what do you guys think of attatching battons accross the floor during the repair to raise the slight dip in the floor ? or will the delamination fluid expand enough to raise the floor to levelbit out ? cheers rob

The fluid does expand, a lot. You've probably gathered you might want to put weights on the floor and prop under the floor whilst the delam fluid cures. I wouldn't worry about a slight dip as long as the floor looses the spongy feeling.

ok geoff cheers... its going to be tricky to get something under the van pushing up ..i guess il use the corner legs to raise and lower the van..its it totally necessary to prop up the floor ? surely the foam is not That powerfull ? cheers rob

ps on double checking bathroom plumbing.. i found another leak.. sorted now.. as are the cracked taps... this van has just had the TLC it needed. Rob 😊

No not totally necessary to prop up, but it might help though. I just used weights on my floor and didn't prop underneath and the repair has been good. A couple of axle stands supporting a plank would do. Please don't use the legs as a jack this will damage your steadies or push the steady(ies) through the floor. Sounds like the caravan has suffered in the past, whilst you are in "caravan mode" if you haven't done so already check all your gas and electric appliances are fully working and also the condition of your battery. Glad you've sorted the plumbing, I only need look at a pipe to make it leak, me and plumbing don't get on.

lol ok geoff. thanks.. ive checked all gas pipes when i bought it.. all appliances work... well the water heater doesnt but i need a new unit.. its something ive shut the gas off to and put aside just now.. 1 of the 4 cooker burners wont stay lit.. but all in all.. things are okay..ish .. on the safety front anyway..

i fitted a new regulator as i needed to switch to propane as im in Scotland and butane is no good here most of the time. . as i have found out lol..

i fixed the gas side of the fridge.. just a power connector to the igniter..fixed the carver gas fire.. just needed stripped and cleaned .. i fitted a 100 watt solar panel to the roof.. a charge controller and a 75Ah battery.. it works a treat i get 2 or 3 days and thats running a 20w 240v 23" tv via an inverter i fitted..

i fitted LED lights to replace the florescent units..im ok on the electrics front as ive always done electronics etc also. im a radio amateur so i have quite a bit of training and expereience.

yes il remember what you say about the stedies .. i have a trolly jack.. il use that with a board...or il use axl stands.
