Hi all its been a while! Our beloved van has suddenly got a fault, all the interior lights have stopped working as well as the heater switch and the control panel for the mains in ie; car/van, lights, pump etc. is dead. All fuses seem fine? There's a ZIG TX2000R control until/charger which is on and the fuse on top seems fine so I'm flummoxed by it as its been working fine!
According to the handbook there's 4 10a fuses at the distribution box which I assume is the TX2000R? there's nothing else to check so am hoping someone can shed some light on the subject lol

I dont have a battery its on the mains cable and has always worked. If there's any inline fuses other than the ones I've checked they aren't in the book? I'll go and get some new glass fuses in case they've blown but don't show it...

I managed to fix this by removing the ZIG TX2000R from the wall of the battery compartment beneath the seats and undone the fuse that takes 1/2 a turn then pulls out (there is also a 15amp fuse you can unscrew as usual) Its a 20mm 2amp glass fuse that had blown. I bought a few spares at the weekend and tried a new one in and hey presto! lights back on :)
I'm just posting in case anyone else with an old Avondale has the same issue.

A battery is a good idea, and if you are always connected to EHU it doesn't have to be anything special. On our last caravan I just used an old car battery and it worked just fine. All it needs to do is stabilise the supply from the charger.
Hi there where is this glass fuse please? I've got the same problem I checked the fuses in the seat at the front of van all seemed fine and info will be much appreciated thanks
I dont have a cupboard to the right of the fridge😪, I cant find this fuse, my caravan is a 2007 avondale dart, I thought isit the battery charger but I traced the red and black wires from battery which runs into a big fuse box under the front seats and all the fuses seem fine. Thanks for your info.
ah this posts about a 1994 perle ulesese hence the difference lol. You'll find the fuse next to the fuse box under the seats. Usually an inline one to the side of it or on top maybe? but might be a different design nowadays but will still have a fuse for the battery. Good luck :)
