My last post was regarding my truma water heater 30030 not working properly, well unfortunately it is now defunked and no more

so I now have to buy a new one....my question is this, My water heater element is a 450 watt, can I upgrade it to a 850 watt ?
what would the benefits be...

I would think that it would heat the water quicker, but I don't know whether it would physically fit, as I am not familiar with that heater. However, the snag would be that if you were on a site with low power availability it could limit what else you could use at the same time. If you always go to sites where you always have at least a 16 amp supply, that would not be a problem.

Best Regards,
Colin

As far as I’m aware you cant upgrade the element unfortunately. The 850w is a lot bigger in size and has a thermostat connected to it that also needs to be bolted on to the tank.
