Hi All,
I hope you're all ready for the summer!
Please could anyone help? While putting my van into storage, a gate blew shut and damage the 'Truma blown air awning heater' cowl/outlet on the side. Now my OH says I give out more hot air than these but I don't want a hole in the side of my van!
I've looked everywhere for a replacement but I can get every other cowl cover or flap but I can't find one of these! I sent off for the one that looked exactly like mine and a different one came. The person I got it from can surprisingly no longer be contacted... If I can't get the Truma one, can anyone suggest a 'false' cover to hide the hole?
Thanks all,
Dodge

Don't you mean the Truma gas cowl for the hot water heater?
If not then can you provide a picture or visit Google Images to identify the part you are referring to.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't replied but I was on duty yesterday and we had an emergency so i didn't finish until the middle of the night and I'm back on in half an hour :(
Unfortunately, it's none of these... the one that G7ACU put on is the one that was sent to me but it's not flush at the back. The one that was damaged was slightly longer and the cover had wavy lines on the front, which I assume represented the hot air? thanks for trying though guys, and again, I hope you don't think I was being rude

I have found a replacement housing exept the cover is slightly different. Instead of having a picture of the air flow (as shown in your link) it has the words 'Awning Warmer' but does exctly the same job.

Hi Ravman and welcome to the forum. it may have been better to start a new topic rather than tag on this one which is about a different subject.
I doubt if you have blown anything, it's more likely that it was going to happen anyway through use. There are quite a few things that go wrong so lets start with the basics that are common to all current setting (I suppose you have tried them with the fan OFF as it often masks low wattage heating operation? Do you feel any heat?
Check the fuse holder on the isolating switch, it often gets loose and burns out.
Dave.
