Hi, we're away at the moment but have no electric and no 12volt. Battery indicator is on green and we were hooked up to the car on the way here. OH has checked fuses and hook up cable. Stumped, any ideas as to what problem could be

Have you had the caravan serviced recently?
It sounds like a common problem where just an isolation switch hasn't been turned back on.

It is most unusual for the 230 volt mains and the 12 volt system to fail at the same time.
12 Volt:- Your battery appears to be in order so is there a main cut-off switch on your caravan, perhaps by the door, that has been turned off? ( Silly I know but it does happen ).
230 Volt:- You say the mains cable has been checked. Have you tried connecting to another bollard to see if it is that that is at fault?
Have you tried to borrow a neighbours cable to see if that works?
Has the main trip switch operated. (It should be in the "up" position)
Other than that I can only suggest you see if the campsite reception has any ides.

OH has tried plugging into another power supply. He's tested trip switch on the panel in the caravan and it doesn't trip out. Booked in for service when we get back, looks like we'll be having electrics sorted too. Nice peaceful holiday - no TV, music, etc. Definitely back to basics 🙄🤔😂

Is the trip swith on the bollard switched ON?
That sometimes happens.
A silly question but have you actually got a leisure battery connected up?

I still think that it's a simple thing like a switch that hasn't been switched ON. There is no 12 volt power or 240 volt mains and all the trip switches and fuses have been checked. I can't think of it being anything other than an isolation switch that's been overlooked.

Agree with tango55.
You say the trip switch in the panel doesn't trip. That probably means there is no power reaching it or that it has already tripped.
1) Are you sure that your Electric Hook Up cable is not damaged or has a loose wire in either end? Try and borrow someone else's cable to check.
2) If the trip switch has already operated it will be in the 'Down' position. Make sure it is 'Up'. I know it sounds silly but normally 'Down' means 'On'. Not so in caravans !! Many people get confused.

Just a thought. Some trip switches don't look like they are tripped when they are. You have to turn them off then back on again to reset them. Our old consumer unit at home used to be like that, before it was replaced.

The mains trip switch shouldn't affect the 12 volt side though, unless it has been off for a while and the leisure battery is flat. I would not rely on an indicator, I would check it with a volt meter or failing that a light bulb straight across the battery terminals.
