Hi
I seem to have 2 major problems with my bailey Vermont caravan

1 the charger seems to have stopped working normally you can here a slight noise and the charger is slightly warm to touch now nothing

2 my thetford toilet has also stopped working I have taken the pump out and putting power to it , someone before had fitted a new pump, so could use this connection the pump worked.
Checked the fuse that’s fine with no corrosion but putting a light meter there does not seem to be any power

What has happened to my van please help I am desperate for advice

If transformer/charger has failed & you can diy then a new one is around £100. Assuming all connections & fuses are good check battery voltage with charger on should be about 13.5v. If well under that then charger has failed.

Yep Bob, sounds like there is no 12 volts output so that's why the toilet isn't working.

Run a new power cable to the toilet all working ok

Charger seems to be working but voltage meter not showing anything

Good man, doesn't sound like such an expensive job now, probably a dodgy plug/socket connection near the power supply unit.
