Hiya, my Elddis Shamal has a damp patch in a lower wall. I met an old man at a site today who told me to drill in and spray some builders foam in to strenghten the wall with some wooden support and paint over it. I'm guessing its not that easy??
Can I just cut the plywood from bottom of window down and replace it or do I need to replace the whole wall?

No you dont have to replace the full wall just cut out the damp patch.You will have to work out where the water is coming from to while its off.

before cutting anything out.. make sure its actually rotten and not just wet..

rot is caused by long term damp.. water gets in and cant dry out after a while the wood goes rotten.. wet rot does take a while to happen though..
