I have a 2008 Trigano Silver 310. Just discovered the external, Whale submercible cold-water pump will not work. It was ok last month! I tried both the bathroom & kitchen taps in case it was a faulty micro-switch, but neither activated the pump. Since coming home, I've connected the pump to a seperate 12v supply and it works ok. I then attached a multi-meter to the external Whale connector, & tried both taps again, but no power is getting to the connector.
So, I assume it's the supply in the 'van that is the problem. I've looked inside the lockers & cupboards for the 12v(?) wiring/supply/fuesbox, but cannot see anything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Barry.

Don't know about the Trigano specifically but modern caravans have a switch for the power to the pump and a master 12volt switch. Both must be on.

The 12 volt will start from near the battery box which is probably an external hatch about 45cm wide x 30cm high. That's where the panel will be on the inside.

I also expect the pump control to be a pressure switch rather than micro switches. This will be a switch near where the pump plugs into the side. It will be a small white cylinder approx. 2 to 3 cm diameter and 5cm long, maybe with an adjuster screw or knob on top, also with water pipe and wires. This may need adjusting.

Alongside that will be a damper, a much bigger cylinder.

Thanks navver. I looked in the battery box, although I didn't expect to see anything there, and there isn't. Just the hook-up connector, motor-mover switch, and the battery of course. On the other side of the battery box, inside one of the lockers, is the RCD system and the 'charging circuitry box', but there is nothing obvious on either that looks like a switch. I couldn't even see any obvious low-voltage wiring coming from either unit. I may have to take the cover off to see inside the charging unit. I checked the locker on the other side of the van, which is where the water heater is, but again, there only appears to be 230v wires. I've found the 12v (?) wiring to the lights, but haven't been able to trace these back to the RCD or charging circuitry box. By the way, all 12v lights are working ok. I'll investigate how to get to the back of the Whale connector on the outside of the van (it is secured by screws & mastic). The taps I'd assumed use microswitches, as there's an audible 'click' as they're rotated from off, to cold, to hot.

I spoke to a Trigano dealer yesteday who told me to 'remove the cover' on the electrical charging box by 'unclipping' it, and then look for a blown fuse. The trouble is, the box in my Trigano is pop-riveted to the case, so it has not been designed to to be removed. Does anyone else have some ideas?

In our Silver the fuse box is beside the contact breakers, immediately on the rear of the battery box.

Thanks Stuart, but what year is your Trigano, mine is a 2008? It is in the same position as yours by the sound of it (rear of battery box, inside the locker, & to the left of the RCD unit, but it's NOT a fusebox, more like an 'sealed electrical power-supply box'. The dealer told me things have changed over the years. I believe newer Triganos have a fusebox with LED indicators that tell you when a fuse has blown. I just cannot see where the 12v wiring and fusebox is on mine. Barry
