Just collected the caravan from its storage and the motor mover won’t work.
Battery has been on charge, new batteries in the remote, also tried it on a spare battery, pressed the reset button, nothing in the locker to mess with the wireless signal.
The rollers engage, just seems to have no power, makes a clicking noise but no movement
Any ideas?
Try activating the rollers without engaging them on the tyres and see if they rotate or not.
That's the first step to identify if it's the rollers at fault or not.
Hi, clicking noise normally points to low battery, but I had this problem with our mover on returning home and needed to put it on the drive all I got was clicking then realised had not turned on big red switch.
Was the battery flat when charged it? If a battery is left flat for any length of time it reduces its capacity when you recharge it.
Eventually it will die and may charge to 12v but when you try and power the mover the voltage will drop too low to actually power the motors. After a minute or so the battery may show 12v again, but under load the voltage will be too low again.
Check the battery voltage when you try to power the motors. It will drop slightly but a larger drop = dead battery.
Check the battery clamps are secure and no corrosion on the terminals?
