Hi
Does anybody else have trouble connecting or disconnecting the truma water connector to their van? Mine is at best awkward to fit and need the strength of Popeye to remove it. Have tried silicone spray on seals makes no difference. Broke pistol grip today trying to remove it!!! Is there a trick to this I don't know about, always had whale connections before.

I have found some pistol grips to be very tight, others not as bad.
I found smearing some olive oil out of the kitchen on the seals helped greatly.

Try new seals. Ours got very tight and also sprayed with silicon to no avail .When new ones came I was surprised how the old ones had swelled in comparison to the rubber diameter of the new ones . Now go in effortlessly. Got mine off EBay for £1.80 the two. Trauma only sell in packs of five for no reason, and charge £16.
Truma do a pack of four genuine replacement seals for £3.65.

When I went in shop just after Easter the owner showed me a genuine Truma pack containing 5 and said they were his latest stock in and they had now increased to £16. He admitted it was a rip off.
Have a look at the two protruding brass connectors above the recess where the two sealing rings fit. If one or both are protruting at the wrong angle it will make the connection more difficult as there was a thread posted only a few weeks ago where someone was asking the same question. After numereous replies of suggestions it turned out that one of the brass connnectors had bent stopping the pistol from entering the water inlet. If they do look a bit bent down just try to ease them up slightly with a pair of long nose pliers and see it the connection is easier.
