Just wondering if anyone recognises the kind of staining in the pictures attached? Caravan is a sterling cruach mhairi 2007. Not sure if it is my imagination but I feel like it may have got worse after giving the van a good wash a few days ago. Perhaps not though. Just uses warm water and Fenwicks cleaner. Do the stains look familiar? Not long had the van and the rest of it is immaculate. Got a good deal on it but just wondering if there is anything I can do about the staining? I gave it a good rub with a cloth and warm water this morning just to see if there was even the slightest change but it didn't move. Only the front panel has the marks. Any ideas?
Thanks Grampian. I'm really worried about making things worse so haven;t tried much other than a quick rub with the green abrasive side of a sponge on one of the less conspicuous marks. This improved things slightly but the paint came off on sponge and my fingers so I left it. The front panel is abs going by what I see inside the locker.
Perhaps getting a colour match of the locker door and doing a little touch up would help? Not sure.
The top picture looks like water has been dripping on that area for a log time.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
What is the roof like ,is it also stained. We keep our caravan in rear garden which backs onto farmland. We have a large Ash tree in the field nearby. When the leaves fall in Autumn if I do not continually keep roof clear of leaves they turn brown and stain the colour of your marks and water that then drips down stains body. Having lived at house 40+ years and had caravans all this time before they had so much GRP/ABS panels you could remove with a light T cut.
