I have now acquired a Bailey Ranger 2006 Caravan.
The Dimatec mixer tap near the sink has started leaking. It would appear from trawling posts on the internet, that there is probably a defective cartridge &/or sealing rings inside the tap which need to be replaced.
I have removed the handle at the top by loosening the grub screw without a problem. However, I need to remove one or two sections of the chrome body to get to the cartridge.Neither section seems to unscrew, the only alternative being to use a sharp-bladed chisel to prise the sections apart. I am loathe to do this as it is likely to damage the (nice!) chrome body.
Does anyone have experience of this problem?
Hi Richard and welcome to the forum.
I changed the cartridge in my mixer tap, the cover unscrewed after removing the handle assembly. It may well be gummed up with a build-up of limescale in the treads as it's likely to have been leaking and drying again for some time.
I would recommend brushing some ordinary malt vinegar on it, both inside and out, it will disolve limescale and a bit of crud too and clean the threads up plus it isn't too strong to do damage to the crome.

Excellent advice Dave.
I painted vinegar on the outside, & filled the inside, then left it to soak overnight. Quite easy to undo with admittedly a larger adjustable wrench than the mole grip I had used previously.I have ordered some sealing washers & will finish the job as soon as they arrive.
I shall never be without a bottle of Sarsons from now on!
Many thanks
Richard
