Hello. Can anyone tell me if 18% damp meter reading is ok? I did a repair in September because I had a leaking awning rail and the walls became spongy. I think it's worked as it was more like 75% before I did the work. The moisture levels in the unaffected walls are more like 14%.
Hi, my understanding from other discussions is, anything under 20% is ok it will vary due to ambient conditions and weather. i test mine regularly at multiple points, the lowest i ever get is 12% and 18 or 19 would be fairly regular.
Agree with jonjesk, anything under 20 should be okay, just keep checking, it will up and down a couple depending on the caravan use and temperatures. Looks like you did a good resealing job 👍👍
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
The % is heading in the right direction. It can take a long time to fall to the same level as surrounding timbers. As others have said check regularly.
Mine had a factory repair starting at 40%. 6 months later it was still at 30%. At 12 months down to 15% which is normal
