So I have bought a caravan spent my saving to get my wee one some lovely memories. I get home and see it looks pretty wet under the two. Back corners of the caravan now I don't know what to do how do I find why it is wet? I'll try post pictures if anyone could help me I would be so grateful

the key is not to panic and to take your time in finding where the water is getting in from. without seeing the problem its difficult to assess but are there any obvious ways in which water may enter, such as holes in the exterior panels, seams on the panels that are damaged etc if you cant find obvious signs then you may have to remove some of the internal wallboard and start to track it back. lots of vans have been repaired but unless the ingress of water is stopped theres no point repairing the damage

some people will recommend the use of a damp meter to help identify the areas of damp, they can be useful tools to help find the problem

I am in Edinburgh I can't work out how to post a posture but I have made the profile picture the damage. I think I can see where watwr may get in at theeft but not at the right

the water is more than likely getting in via either the grab handles, the window or awning channel

The picture is showing wet underneath the floor. Is the floor still solid inside. If so to prevent more damage you need to stop the water running down the sides of the caravan and then running under to the floor. Get some plastic angle and with some sealant fix it underneath the bottom of the sides so that the water drips off this and prevents it going underneath. Sealant such as Soudal RV is ideal to use.
When we bought our caravan new I notice exactly the same corners getting wet. This is the way I stopped ours and still fine now 6 years later.
Look on my gallery bottom picture.Hope is clear enough. Also put some angle across the bottom of back panel.

Fit the angle with one side that you fix to the caravan going inwards so that the vertical side is outwards. The water then runs down the side of the caravan then down the side of the angle and drips off instead of running underneath and soaking the floor. Did both sides of caravan with pieces of angle about 12 inches long from the back corners. Did the whole width of the panel across the back, Got angle from B&Q but other places sell it.

As well as a drip strip make sure the awning rail has something hanging down so the water will run off rather than underneath like its presently doing.

Can you tell me what size plastic angle could be best I got 40 by 40 by 2000 is that too big they also had 20 by 20 and 10 by 10
