Due to incomplete paperwork we do not know where the Tracker on our 2011 Madrid is situated
Since we have a flat battery on the van,it has been in storage for 3-4 months, would this be the Tracker draining it?
Also do I understand although the master switch is off some power is still taken to run the computer?
You are not supposed to know where it is !! If you know then so will every miscreant in the country !!
I had to have mine upgraded a couple of years ago and the engineer very nearly had to take the caravan apart to find it.
The Tracker has its own 12 volt battery which is kept charged by the caravan battery. That way you will get 3/4 months of tracking even after you caravan battery is discharged.
The best way to keep both batteries topped up is to use a small solar panel over the winter.
You could disconnect the caravan battery, take it home and charge it but be aware that this will send a signal to your alarm monitoring company and will quickly deplete the Tracker battery.
