As part of an ongoing repair, I need to clean off the old sealant on part of the window seal. Does anyone know what solvent/cleaner/other is best to use?

Most people use white spirit followed by meths which cleans off any residue left by the white spirit ensuring a good bond when you reseal.

White spirit to get rid of the sealant. Meths to get rid of the white spirit before resealing.
