hello,
our 3 way fridge works on mains and battery but not on gas. After a little inspection I discovered that while the igniter is igniting the gas and it is staying lit, the flame is not lighting in the usual place under the flue but seems to be burning out of a hole that I think is either the pressure test port or the shutoff valve.....it's burning out of a hole after the inlet fitting and before the burner jet....so in the wrong place...the flame is not blue, it's yellow . Has anybody come across this before....on holidays in France at moment. Thank you.
You probably know that a yellow flame is a result of incomplete combustion, I'm no gas expert but I believe that incomplete combustion results in hazardous carbon monoxide being produced. I wouldn't use gas but would deal with it on your return to the UK.
similar issue with my thetford fridge...Only use gas as a back up on certain sites...Refused to stay lit a week or so ago --- van being serviced next week...alos getting all gas appliances done at the same time.
