Hello,
I am posting this in the hope that someone out there might know either how to repair or where I can find a replacement for my Reflect Lite roof vent in my 1980's ABI Marauder. This vent raises and lowers by turning a wheel that connects to a vertical metal spiral thing that engages the teeth at the end of a small arm that raises the vent.
Problem is that the first tooth on the arm has broken off and gone. The rest of the vent is in perfect condition, a credit to the previous owners who owned the van from new and kept it inside. I'd like to keep the van original and I really like this vent.
So, any advice on repair or finding a new arm from an old vent would be appreciated. Oh, a metal worker told
me that he couldn't build the missing tooth by welding, due to the metal used in the arm. Hoping someone can help. Mark.
