So some kind soul decided to knock completely off the Immersion heater cover on our old 2003 Elddis Crusader



Any ideas of where i could get a cover for an old van such as this

Also the pump next to it has lost its clips over the years which keep the pump attached
Is there anyway this can be repaired ?

Looking at the shape of the flue it looks like a Truma Ultrastore gas flue cover as shown in the link below.

You can see they made a good job and wrecking the bloody thing especially when you look at the angle the screws ended up
Would that cover just slot over the top or screw on I can't work it out

Also with the retaining clips the old ones snapped off in the actual holes, is it a case of getting some long headed pliers and prizing them out ?

Sorry for school boy questions but being a novice caravan owner i want to start doing simple things myself

Firstly, the cover fits over the perimeter of the steel plate (the part fixed to the caravan as shown in the photo) and then just clips on at the top and that's it. However, it looks like you will have to replace the Truma flue cowl PLATE as well as the COVER. The plate is held on by the six screws as shown in the photo but when replacing the new plate you will have to remove all the old mastic with white spirit, polish it off 100% before a fresh application of waterproof sealant available at most caravan accessory shops. Don't use the DIY sealant for bathrooms as it doesn't contain the same properties as the genuine sealant needed.
Secondly, regarding the two water pump clips, they just push into the existing holes then swivel in a circular motion. If you go indide the caravan and look at the opposite side of the water inlet you will most probably find the broken bits off the old pump clips.

EDIT:
I forgot to mention that you need the second cover which is also missing. This is the part that screws to the back plate then the cover clips on afterwards onto the second cover. However, you could purchase the complete assembly which incorporates all three parts including the back plate.

It is the correct link showing the part that I missed out in my first post as I was in a hurry at the time so I missed out the crucial bit.
The procedure is that the back plate goes on first followed by the cowl grill and finally the complete cover which clips on to the top of the grill. In the OP's photo it shows the 6 screws which is what secures the cowl grill to the back plate.
I have posted a youtube video in the link below mainly for the benefit of the OP just to show what the Truma Cowl assembly assembly looks like. The remainder of the video is unimportant.
