New to this website, and apologies if I’m posting this in the incorrect place. I have a Dometic 3 way fridge in my camper (2007) that works on battery and mains but not on gas. Checked igniter and flame both are working normal. Checked the flue and it’s clear. I’m not familiar with 3 way fridges, so any help would be very much appreciated.
Gas bottle empty?
Is the gas supply cut-out device open (isolation tap)?
Air in the gas pipe?
Misaligned burner?
Defective thermocouple?
Is the fridge level?
As the battery is fully charged it could be a number of other reasons why the fridge won't ignite on gas.
You say "Checked igniter and flame both are working normal". This implies it's working properly.
They do take a long time to cool down, like several hours. There should be a metal plate in the freezing compartment. Feel this if it's cold. Also feel above the radiator on the back if possible and it should feel warm.
Thanks Navver and tango55.
Flame did look normal to me, but I have no experience so there was obviously something not right. Brought it to a camper service centre and they changed the jet and one of the feed pipes. They also changed the gas cylinder from butane to propane. Told me butane was a”dirty” gas and will cause more issues for jets etc than propane.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Hi,we have a Domestic RMS 10.5 X's.
There is a reset on ours.
Put it onto gas so the fault light shows, then press the power button till it beeps once then quickly release.
This worked on our fridge, worth a try
Good luck
