Is this lock to be fitted across where the two halves of the door meet? If anyone have fitted one, how easy is it to fit? I have limited space inside between the fly screen and furniture.
Regards
Malcolm

It sounds like you are contemplating fitting the security door lock to the inside of the main door which looking at Google Images it looks like that the Milenco 4817 model is fitted externally. However, the Milenco interior security door lock is likely to be a different product code number.
Does the security door lock look like the one in the link below?
If it does then it's 4718 model and not 4817.

Tango55's image shows a one-piece door but I believe it's fitted across the bottom part of the top door of a split door, the bottom section can't open if the top one is closed. Just make sure there is enough room for the handle to turn inside, there wasn't in my van, also for the reasons you suggested.

Tango55, I stand corrected! It is the 4718 and I obviously would fit it externally. When asking about the space inside the van, I was referring to the space required to turn the internal handle that Pickled Onion refers to.
Pickled Onion, I have repositioned the fly screen frame slightly to give another centimetre of width which now will allow the handle to turn comfortably.
Many thanks to you both for responding to my enquiry.

No probs Malcolm, glad you managed to work out a fix for it.
I fitted the Milenco folding grab handle on mine and only just managed to get all the fixing bolts in place without moving the flyscreen, there ain't much room on that side of the door frame.
