new tyres fitted last January (2019) service this month January 2020 found one wheel nut on caravan cross threaded will I need a new hub and a new one on the other side to compensate also one tyre even though new was months earlier manufactured any advice would be most appreciated. The wheel in question has not been removed during the 12 months
You may find that if you take off the hub the stud will knock out or press out. If it does, all you need is a new stud and new nuts. Whichever, you shouldn't need to touch the other side.
If both tyres are new and there is only months between them, I would think it should be fine as long as the tyres are the same make, tread pattern and load rating.
If your caravan is modern with the usual Alko chassis then wheels bolt directly into brake drum which is combined with hub & sealed bearing & is held onto stub axle with large hub nut that is discarded & replaced every time it is removed. This for caravan built mid 90s onward. Before that unsealed bearings & castellated nuts were used.
Wheel bolts should be softer metal than drum so once you have the bolt out you my find thread in drum is ok & you only need a new wheel bolt.
If thread has had it & new drum is required you should be ok just replacing one side. New drum is well over £100 so check thread is ok first. If new bolt screws in easy & torques up ok you are ok.
Also worth pointing out that damaged threads can be repaired by being Helicoiled but I don’t know if this is advisable for a wheel thread. Most garages can do thread repair with Helicoil inserts so worth an inquiry.
As others are talking about wheel BOLTS as opposed to wheel NUTS, that is the first thing to determine. The O/P did say wheel NUTS, which suggests to me that there are studs in the brake drum/hub.
Hi there many thanks with the advice so far most helpful. When posting the notice just to clarify the nut refers to the bolt that ho;ds the caravan wheel to the hub regards

Ah, if they are bolts then I agree with Billy. You may have to replace the brake drum if a new bolt won't screw in and fasten securely because of a damaged thread. Still only need to do the one side though, unless of course there is one damaged that side too.
Hi there many thanks everybody for advice and information
Just as an added note
I believe that AL-KO recommend that both the hubs are replaced at the same time
and in the case of my tyres
regarding the tyres people may not be getting the full 5 years or 3 years from the tyres as expected due to tyres wearing from when they are manufactured and if the date is 20weeks before the other one even though fitted at the same time could possibly mean in theory less than 5 years as in my case
I think you may be wrong about the tyres, there was quite a bit of information on here about dates of tyres, it’s more about how they were stored prior to use rather than the manafactured date I think is what the post said, worth doing a search and checking for the proper information.
