Hi All.
Found a small amount of damp in my rear toilet wall so decided to sort it out. Was going to remove the rear outer panel to access the frame which has rotted away. So arranged to take it to my church car park with plenty of space to work. It's a repair I've tackled before on a previous caravan including replacing part of the frame so not phased by the prospect.
Parked it up yesterday and started by removing the toilet. No difficulties. Went to it this morning to discover some kind person has planted a boulder through the front windows. Insurance and police informed. Insurance won't act until Monday because they can't access my policy before then. Police cant do anything because no witnesses or cctv to go on but have given a crime number.
I've taken the van back to the storage site which means I can't take the back off as easily so will have to do the repairs internally. This means removing the shower cubicle panels which I'm not sure how to do. Anyone got any ideas please?
I'll post some pictures when I've discovered how to.
So cut away some of the internal panel to discover that the plywood parts of the frame have completely disintegrated. The solid timber sections seem relatively OK so just need drying out and treating.
I still need to get the shower cubicle out so any suggestions greatly received. It seems to be a single unit not separate panels so This could be major.
I can't remove the back panel because it seems to be bonded onto the sides. Does anyone know any different?
All suggestions gretefully received.
------------- It will come right in the end and if not you can't change it anyway so, Stop worrying.
