Hi all ,
I have finally finished re lining my little old (damp) van with ply, thing is now I'm unsure what to do, I have some plain lining wallpaper that I think I'll use and possibly paint over that then but do I apply it straight to the bare ply or do I need to seal it with pva or similar before doing so ?
We had a wall repoastered and wereadvised to paint it with a ater/pva mix before refinishing.
It would seal the ply and possibly help paper stick better.
Is there any advice in the fixed it section on this site?

cant you just pva, prime and then paint the ply? if the paper gets scuffed then you may need to replace the paper, if it scuffed and it was just painted, then its a touch up job !
I see your point about the scuffing 🤔 id hate all the painting though, I'd lose motivation again I think. I've half the van papered now anyway after a few days of complete lockdown here in ROI, hopefully she will be ready in not too distant future 🤞
