Hello,
Has any body ever tried to cut a window opening larger,
I am really struggling to find a window that fits but have a larger window, was wondering how difficult it would be to make it fit. ??
What's the purpose of fitting a bigger window if you can't even find one available to meet your needs?
Surely it would be much easier just to replace the existing window (if needed) and even that can be difficult depending on the age of the caravan.
Cutting a bigger aperture isn't that simple either because the structure of the entire caravan is constructed by a timber frame so you have limits to how far you can go to allow the rubber seal to fit around the perimeter of the window aperture.
I would forget the idea if I was you because it could result in a very expensive repair.
Hi , thanks for your input.
That was what I need to know.
As it says in my ad. I have a window which previous owner put on that is too big for the frame.
It doesn't seal properly .it is a very old caravan .
And I have been searching for a replacement .
If you include your outfit details in your profile it would probably get some suggestions to maybe even get a replacement window the correct size or perhaps just the seals
Hi thank You,
I am looking for a nearside window for an ,
ABI Jubilee Courier MK1.
It measures 860mm across the top and 1095mm across the bottom and 630mm from top to bottom.
The window that's on there is the same shape but it's 900mm across the top and 1200 across the bottom. It is the same 630mm from top to bottom .

Try O’Leary’s or EECO the later specialise in replacement windows
EECO need the actual window, and as the OP doesn't have it, he's snookered.

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Have you tried Caravan Breakers - Near Newport S Wales They do a matching service if you send the measurements of the window that you require and the colour code. All explained on their website. I seem to recall that they have massive racks of windows.
