Is there anyone out there who has a Bailey Pursuit 400/2 and has the same problem as me I have just got one and even with the van empty the nose weight is 80 Kg which is heavier than is recommended.
Peter.
The noseweight when empty may well be 80 kg but the important thing is what the noseweight is when the van is loaded and ready for use.
The Alko hitch has a max permitted noseweight of 100 kg so the 80 kg is ok if your car allows for an 80 kg noseweight. As mentioned in your previous thread you are unlikely to tow the caravan with it empty so you need to load the caravan ready for your holidays and then adjust the noseweight to comply with your car limit and the hitch limit.
I presume the noseweight given is with the gas bottle in place. The most important thing to remember is not to try and balance the nose weight by putting everything at the back Even the weight out and put anything heavy on the floor just to the back of centre.
