Hi, I have a 2013 Elddis and I've just bought one of the rcd testers from Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B078X6J5DX?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
When I've tried it, it tripped the rcd as it should but there was a click from the heating controller (I'm guessing a fuse) and now no power. I've checked the fuse box and that's fine. I've looked behind the controller and can't see a fuse. Can anyone help?
Here is a pic of what's not working. There's no power to any of it.
No issues, I bought the tester to test when abroad for switched live etc as I've used one in the past and have a few different adaptors. This just happened to have an rcd tester on it so thought I'd check all was ok.
The main breaker tripped as it should but there was a definite 'click' from inside the wardrobe (the back of the heating controller) area.
I'd assumed the same that it was wired into the 12v DC circuit so I'm unsure what happened! I can't see a reset button/switch on the controller board and following the wiring down I can't see an inline fuse unless it's behind the fridge which will be a pain to access.
I'm going to test the wires with a multimeter to check if there's anything coming to the controller.
It's a Whale blown air underfloor system and 8L water. Been on the phone to Whale all afternoon - amazing customer service.
Tried all sorts and by plugging/unplugging the fuse on the PCB managed to get it working!
Great news, phoning Whale technical support was going to be my next suggestion as they have a great reputation for being very helpful to their customers, Mike. Just a bad connection, so glad it's sorted and so cheaply too.
Dave.
