Don't want to hijack the thread (and I am not!) but if I read this thread right, if 240V is plugged into the van, isn't the battery issue irrelevant? Surely the Carver Fanmaster should work when 240v is plugged in, unless the blower is faulty?
I have similar problem. Everything works (heating, fridge, lights, immersion) EXCEPT the fan. So I found this thread while trying to see how to fix it, so I will just await the outcome here rather than clog up the forum with a duplicate thread! If the van has 240v and everything working except the blower, wouldn't it be a new motor needed for the fan?

and that is what we are trying to ascertain! you cant check narrow things down if you dont start with the basics, and that being a fully working battery as most issues are caused by the lack of one
I think I might need a new leisure battery tomorrow.. yes crumpled we have the very same problem.. if we do get cold nights next week the gas fire works and luckily the fridge works on the gas but takes hours to get cold
