Hi everyone,

New to the caravanning life & rennovation scene & just purchased a 'damp free' Compass Echo 365 from Ebay (a common occurence i'm sure!) ....stripped back wallpaper & seat boards to find damp & wood rot 😳

I've cleaned with anti-mould cleaner, dried it out, used wet rot wood hardener & was planning on filling gaps with Ronseal wood harder filler....my question, if anyone can help please, is will this suffice to keep the floor & walls together??

There is no movement between floor & walls, just a thin gap I was thinking of sealing with silicone & then wood filler....should I use wood/an aluminium strip instead?

Also the small rotten area of walls that I am scooping out, I planned on filling with wood filler....is this the best course of action or should I replace the wall & floor in that section?....if replacement is the case, does anyone pleasehave guidence on how to do this?

Definitely turning out to be a bigger job than planned!!

Thanks for reading,
Dannii

No specific help from me but, Wizard's Caravan Repair page (and linked pages) is always a good place to start looking for help.   https://www.1carpc.co.uk/wcdr/favorites.htm
