Hi All
My mixer tap in the shower cubicle stopped working, whilst I was on holiday last week. Causing a bit of aggro!
Anyway, I think it is the micro switch. How easy is it to replace and where is a good place to get a replacement from.

Hi. Are both taps not working? If so I doubt whether it's a microswitch as they don't generally both pack up at exactly the same time. It's more likely to be a connection that has broken somewhere. If only one tap isn't working then it is quite likely to be the microswitch. If it is a Whale tap, probably the most common, they are readily available on ebay. I would recommend Kenmore Caravans, as they are very helpful, or your local caravan dealer if you have one nearby.

The microswitches on Whale taps are very easy to replace once you have the tap out, but that might not be so easy depending on the caravan. With some other makes of taps though, the micoswitches are integral and the whole tap has to be replaced.

The tap in the bathroom sink and the one in the kitchen are both operating fine. I tried to look at it last night and a piece of plastic came away in my hand together with the brown cable unconnected.
I will take it in for repair.
