Hi all I'm currently on holiday and all of a sudden when when pump is on the water pours out of the water inlet connection.. do I need a new whale water pump ?

How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
right go and look at your neighbours caravans and see if you can find someone with the same pump as yours, ask them if you can borrow it to check, if it works fine on your then try your pump on their caravan, if tht leaks then yes its the pump, if theirs works fine on your van it the non return valve just got some muck in it and holding it open a bit. that might save you £65!
Where can I find the non return valve.. is that a big job ? It worked fine until today I just don't understand why now ) grrrr... I'll try and ask someone tomorrow there are not many caravanners on here to ask but I'll do my best
its just inside where you plug your water pump you should be able to stick something like a cotton bud in it and give it a wriggle around and clean it that way. or it could be on the inside of the caravan, you would just need to follow the pipework. dont panic tho its not that hard to sort out, but try the different pump thing first. in the mean time its just going to be a case of getting water in a jug/kettle/pan
I doubt whether it's the pump at fault. If it's a trickle then it's likely to be the O ring not sealing but if it's gushing it sounds like back pressure from the water system. What make of water inlet do you have, is it the Carver with the 2 swivel clips that secures the pump connection in place?
It's a carver heater.. i put on the brand new whale pump yesturday evening it's perfect no drips ect and this one seems alot quieter so .. so far so good
