hi, I've a tec weltbummler 510 hte which has an on board water tank that's to be filled manually. When out and about the teenagers decided to have long showers. Now the taps etc are pulling water from the tank. The pump does seem to working as lots of bubbling going on in the tank, nothing at all happening from the taps though... any suggestions? Thanks

BTW it's a whale minisub 801. It's making noise but seems to be pushing water back in around the tank. Is it the microswitch...?

is it doing the same with the hot tap? sounds more like you have got air in the system and need to refill the hot water first and then the cold will fill up and pump around as it should, yes it will hiss and spit a lot for a couple of mins from the taps til the air is out

No, there is no hissing or spitting going on (as normally would when the tank fills), just nothing happens. No noise from the taps at all.. can hear the pump going but nothing from the taps at all..

Presume battery is connected correctly and not causing pump to run backwards.

Thanks marg6... checked all that and everything connected.. really frustrating. Watched a few things on you tube and wondering if it's the microswitch within the tap?

ok try this, there is a filter in the tap, you need to gently remove that, and see if it been blocked, if so just clean or you could leave it out to get rid of all silt

Thanks everyone for the advice. Just to update you... i replaced the water pump a few days ago though also noticed that the outlet pipe had come loose from the pump (school boy error I know)... all working fine now and new pump working a dream. Old pump wiring looked burnt out anyway so good to replace! Thanks all
