Using these forums at least weekly as I learn! Thank you for all the help submitted. On our last trip the water pump went... I've since replaced and all working fine though when replacing a notice a black cable running from my taps (in addition to the microswitch cables) along the side of the caravan to an 'exit point mid way down the caravan just below where input the water into the tank.
Any ideas on what this could be? Water has no eternal pump so was wondering if it was a possible hook up for one, or would just be an earth point? Thanks!
Most external water pumps are fed from built-in electrical connections inside the water inlet manifold, there are similar versions with no electrical connections for use with inboard pumps. It could have been a temporary fix for use for an incorrect replacement part.

Thanks Dave. That makes sense, it does look temp as the outlet whole looks quite shabby. I've made safe the connections anyway as doesn't affect the rest of the van... cheers
