Hi, just bought a 2009 abbey vogue which I appreciate is used and will need a few jobs doing.

Inside is just cosmetic really, I'm not shy of diy and over winter was planning on cleaning it up abit.

Got a few bubble bits of spot rust on the oven facia which I was planning on sanding down cleaning up and repainting. Does anybody have an idea which paint I can use? It's the facia above the grill with the gas hob controls on and the metal bracket which holds the glass over the top of the hob. Was thinking of taking the oven out if needed but I'd rather leave in place and just remove these parts? Any guides anywhere?

Couple of windows blinds have a few little rips in them where they meet the bottom which clips down(if that makes sense). Has anybody attempted to repair these or is it a case of buying new blinds?

Hi Rob.
If the parts you describe are likely to get very hot you could use engine enamel available in small aerosol cans from car accessory shops.
This needs to be heated once applied in order to fully cure.
It'll stink the first time it warms up but will soon disperse. Check the temperature required on the tin first.
If the temperature is is less extreme, standard aerosol enamel will be ok as even these are often used commercially and can be heated to around 70c to accelerate drying times.

It's the front facia which has the knobs coming through to turn the gas on each job etc etc and the bracket at the back of the oven which holds the glass in on top of the hob ( spring loaded bit )

Rest of the van ive tidied up like the veneer etc in places which I've sorted.

I'm abit of a nightmare the wife says as I can't leave anything alone haha
