Any help would be grateful, I brought a caravan last year but haven't used it yet, when buying it the couple said that the water heater tank didn't work so they bypassed it so you could still have cold running unfortunately I've want to use it next week but I cannot get the water running i have check the pump on the hose and that is working but haven't a clue why it's not working fuses are ok too just hoping it's me not doing something right

have you charged the battery up and turned on your master switch?

You probably have a master switch controlling the 12 volt circuits.

You may have another switch controlling the pump so you can switch it off if for instance you go out for the day or want to change the aquaroll without the pump running. Some vans have this but not all.

Your leisure battery will need to be charged up. Probably wont be if it has just been left.

Why not get an AWS technician in to check and service the caravan before you use it as surely the safety of your family comes first?

If you haven't used the caravan for a year the first you need do is to get it serviced with particular attention to the tyres. Unfortunately they deteriorate very quickly with out use.
The engineer can then have a look at your water system which is a minor problem compared to possible safety issues.

Hes already said the pump is working, just no water at the tap. It depends what 'bypass' the last owners have carried out on the heater. Id have asked to see it running, to be honest.As it sounds a bodge. And certainly not kept it a year till i first needed it to test things. Good luck with fixing it.

it may just be air, dismount pump from van and dunk it a few times in the water butt then re attach to van
