Hi folks. I need to replace the door from my 2010 pegasus 462, as in the pic, as the locking mech is falling apart and not repairable. I need to remove the centre panel to reuse it in the new door and wonder how easy it is without causing damage to the panel and any tips you may have. I'm only replacing the door, not the frame in the caravan wall.

There is a thread on this forum website around 2013, try the search facility. I just looked on the net and it appears that door may also be glued in, some models did have screws though.
I think the general view was to replace the door complete but I’m sure someone on here will give you the benefit of their experience.

Hi John, I had to split apart the constituent parts of my underlocked door a few years ago, it was quite a pain but I got there in the end.
However, I have seen variations of how these are assembled, screws, - easiest of the lot, spring clips that grip one half of the outer and inner 'sandwich' together - (my No 5 door weas like that, and then glued, almost no chance of repair, new one needed.

I've removed the centre panel and fitted in the new door. It wasn't too difficult but cleaning off all the old sealant was a pain. All four small locker doors have been sealed with silicone at the factory but I've used fixall flexy . The fd3 doors you can buy now are white but as I'm going to replace all four it won't look too bad. I've also bought doors that use the FW lock not the WD lock as the FWs are a stock item and the others are ordered in. Some ordered items are taking a long time to turn up and I needed to get the job done. As the old centre panel was a pain to clean properly I'm getting new panels for the rest. I've also fitted a rain deflector over the top of the doors as I found water could get past the seals in heavy rain, even after fitting new seals. The rain deflector is powder coated aluminium, the type you would fit on the bottom of a door as a drip rail. I did try the Fiamma drip rail but I bought it a while ago and it kept trying to curl up and didn't stick well even after thoroughly cleaning the surface with brake cleaner. The rails are glued on with fixall high tack and do a good job of keeping water away from the top of the doors.
