Hi there. I am trying to find a detailed diagram for my truma 2000 fanmaster blow heater. As the ignition components have come apart due to a bumpy road. And have a few loose bits some springs a couple of loose spade connectors and the main steel rod has come away from the gas valve. It does not look broken just in need of reassembly.
Thanks I have this diagram. But it's not hot the detail I need. I need a good look at the top and bottom ends of ignition from the gas dial on top of the fire to how it connects to the gas supply valve at the bottom left hand side of fire.
From my experience, the control rod running from heater control to the heater gas valve is shaped like a capital D. The flat section goes into a cut out at both ends.
The fire front should come off easily. Just hooked onto casing and usuallyl a couple of screws to release it. Once that's off everything is much easier to see.
Thanks for reply. Could nt see the capital D piece you mentioned. I know what you mean as it was like that in my other van. I'm this van the bottom of the rod has the igniter push button attached. I can see the gas valve rod but not the piece that would sit on top of it to turn it on and off. It could be a piece of the assembly ls lying somewhere out of sight
THE Capital D shape is when you look at the connecting road end on, it will be round but one side will have a flat on it to insert into corresponding socket on both heater top control and also a little connector, on top of gas valve.
Try googling on Practical caravan, another great site. Just copied this from it.:- Probably lots more info.
What year is the van? there are three 2000 models!!
The 2000 Fanmaster manual on my website only refers to the later 1998-2000 model, normally this one has a slide switch control on the top of the fire front, other than that download the Fanmaster mk1 manual.
No button to reset on the later one either, if it does trip out then you need to switch it off at the mains switch and wait five minutes before switching back on.
Also check the 'kettle plug' mains connection on the back of the fire has not fell out? it's in top right hand corner and you'll need to feel right over the back for it.
Heres a picture of where the reset switch is on the earlier model mk1 Fanmaster
