Can anyone tell me where I can get a CARVER SUBMERSIBLE WATER PUMP?
Or is there a way of adapting a water pump to supply the caravan (ABI) from an external water supply vessel?

Is this a pump that plugs into external point on caravan ? I don’t think Carver pumps are available anymore. You could replace the whole lot with a Whale Watermaster pump which would require replacing fitting on side of caravan unless new pump would fit your existing fitting. Here

Carver were the same pumps as the old Truma ones. I am guessing it is a Crystal or Crystal II. If you do go for a whale pump you should be able to get a small adapter for the caravan socket.

Davidoch I have a brand new unopened Truma crystal maxi pump that I bought about 5/6 years ago when I had a pennine pullman folding camper if you are interested

The submersible pump doesn't have to be a Carver brand. Providing that the water pump inlet fitting is the same then any submersible pump will be okay. Both Whale and Truma pumps supply the older Carver fitting which one can be found in the link below.

The OP's question has now been answered so they know exactly what pump they need. However, they haven't entered their location in their profile so don't know how local they are to you but if they are interested in buying the new water pump they really need to reply.

Situation is I managed to find an external pump online yesterday and didn't find all your replies until today. There is a possibility my online purchase will not fit though the picture of it looks encouraging.
Many thanks again for your helpful responses.
I have been taking advantage of the warmer weather and have found some rot in the right hand front corner of our just purchased Rallyman Jubilee 1997. The rot is in the rail where the bottom moulding is mounted. I was able to chip out the rot and replace with a treated timber. We did go over the van thoroughly when we bought it but missed the rot. It otherwise looks to be good for its age.

My next challenge is to ensure there is no chance that water can seep into the van!
I plan to revive the rubber under the sealing strips/mouldings (on all joins) and wondered if anyone knows an effective water proofing material which can seep into the rubber and seal it.... I noticed that the centre plastic black strip (which pulls out of the moulding to reveal the screws) disintegrates when I pull it out, so am wondering if there is a transparent proofing agent I can paint around the mouldings.
I have bought Soudall white caravan sealant to do the outer edges of the roof centre cap as this area has already been treated with white sealant. I am hoping to remove the old sealant without cracking the thin roofing material. Has anyone experience of making a caravan watertight?
