Hi.
We are hoping to replace the lining of our 1994 Microlite. As seen on some previous posts a few years ago, the foam has disintegrated and now small yellow bits collect in the cupboards and behind the sink/hob.
We haven’t done anything like this before, so followed previous posts by others and got prepared with high temperature spray glue, 4-way stretch carpet and foil insulation. However, any other advice would be welcome please.
Next to the sink the current liner is damp/going mouldy from spray from the tap/washing up etc. Could anyone recommend if there is a different material to put on this section so we can wipe it down? We don’t want to trap condensation.
Similarly, on the pop roof there is a waterproof (used to be cushioned) edge about 10cm where the pop up meets the caravan. Have people just carpeted this bit or replicated the existing? If so, how?
I have also broken the tap. It’s old, so the tap is cold only, telescopic tap which needs replacing. The closest we’ve found is a ‘whale’ boat tap. It’s too fat to fit through the sink hole and we’re worried about breaking the sink if we try to make it bigger. Does anyone have any advice?
Many thanks
