Hi all. My X2 Zig Unit is faulty. Would it be OK to disconnect it and replace it with a smart charger to keep the battery charged? I realise that if disconnected there will be no 12V power from my car.

Alternatively, can these units be repaired and if so by whom.

Many thanks in advance.

Talk to Apuljack engineering,I think they repair the Zig units and I’m sure they would give you advice as to what action to take.
However, I do agree with Billy as to the best option

Caithness unfortunately blueexpo97. Nice place to live but a little remote when needing anything.

Many thanks to you all.

Ah, he travels but even that's a tad too far for him.

I sent my unit to Apuljack by Royal Mail tracked delivery and Apuljack did a very quick repair and upgrade then used the same service to return the unit.

There has been several posts complimenting Apuljack on their quality of work, and speedy service. I wrote one of the posts.

Very good firm to deal with.
