Hi, we've removed the Thetford C2 cassette toilet from the bathroom while fixing damp. The flush tank drain pipe was leaking into the drip tray. Both push fit connectors were covered in mastic, which I've cleaned off. The replacement parts do not seem to include a way of sealing the joints. So what can I do to fully seal these connectors.

Plumbers Gold is good for fixing leaks, it sticks even if the parts are wet, in fact it will seal under water. It won't set hard and go brittle over time so flexible too if needed.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out. Someone else suggested mastic tape which I suppose is appropriate since the caravan seems to be held together with sikaflex and mastic tape. Plumbers gold will make a nice change. Actually the mastic I removed didn't stop the leaks, so I'm grateful for your reply

We've put Plumber's Gold on the connectors and after several hours pleased to report no sign of any leaks. It was also very easy to use.
